TEAM BUILDING EXPERIENCES GROUNDED IN SCIENCE

ELEVATE at WORK

The team day nobody tries to get out of. Hosted, in-person experiences built to reconnect teams that have checked out, grounded in peer-reviewed research and powered by play. For team days, offsites and culture moments, Australia-wide.

AUSTRALIAN EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT:

People aren't leaving. They're checking out.

Fewer Australians are changing jobs than a year ago. But staying isn't the same as showing up. Only 21% of Australian employees are engaged at work, according to Gallup's 2026 State of the Global Workplace report.

In a Beyond Blue community poll, 44% of workers said they feel lonely at work at least sometimes. And across Australia, loneliness is highest among people aged 35 to 44 - people right in the middle of working life.

The cost doesn't show up as resignations. It shows up as teams that are checked out and switched off. And the usual fixes, from mindfulness sessions to wellbeing apps, focus on helping each person cope on their own, alone. Only 1 in 5 workers is highly satisfied with what their workplace is doing about burnout.

HOW IS ELEVATE at WORK DIFFERENT?

The usual answer to a disengaged team is a mindfulness session, a resilience workshop or a wellbeing app. Each one asks people to manage their own stress, on their own.

When an Oxford researcher compared more than 46,000 workers across 233 organisations, the people who took part in these programs were no better off than colleagues who didn't. They didn't feel more supported, didn't feel they belonged more, and their relationships at work didn't improve.

The one exception was volunteering on company time: doing something together, for someone else.

That's the gap ELEVATE at Work is built for. Instead of teaching individuals to cope, we bring the team together in one room, making, moving and discovering something together, with nobody asked to share or perform. The outcome is a team that's more connected to each other.

It doesn't replace fixing workload. It builds what those fixes can't: a team that's engaged with the work, and with each other.

WHAT IS ELEVATE at WORK?

ELEVATE at Work is a hosted, in-person team experience built for the gap most workplace programs miss: connection between people. It's designed around the conditions research links to engagement and to the emotional states that keep people resilient and creative at work.

Each experience is built around making, movement, the senses and shared attention, done together, at the same moment, in the same room. People arrive as themselves and leave with working relationships that didn't exist that morning.

Underneath it is The Joy Method, ELEVATE's methodology drawn from peer-reviewed research in positive psychology. It shapes the sequence, the pacing and the format.

Built for days that matter most

Team days, offsites, leadership gatherings, culture moments and the end of a long quarter. Delivered Australia-wide.

A rhythm, not a one-off

Teams that run ELEVATE as a regular fixture rather than a single date get a different kind of return: the format becomes something people look forward to, and the room is never the same twice. Most clients start with one experience. Where it lands, we build the rhythm from there.

THE SCIENCE BEHIND ELEVATE at WORK

Every ELEVATE experience is designed around peer-reviewed research on emotion, connection and group behaviour. The science sits in the design, not in the room.

POSITIVE EMOTION FIRST

A meta-analysis of 464 effect sizes found positive emotion tends to precede success, not just follow it.

Lyubomirsky, King & Diener, Psychological Bulletin, 2005

EMOTIONS ARE CONTAGIOUS

Mood moves between colleagues and shapes how a group thinks and works together.

Barsade, Administrative Science Quarterly, 2002

The same experience is felt more intensely when it's shared.

TOGETHER HITS HARDER

Boothby et al., Psychological Science, 2014

Across five experiments with 2,078 participants, awe predicted greater generosity toward others. In a team, that's the culture with greater cooperation.

AWE TURNS PEOPLE OUTWARD

Piff et al., Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, 2015

How each finding shapes the room is something we walk you through in conversation.

EXPERIENCES BUILT FROM SCRATCH

No two ELEVATE experiences are the same. Every concept is designed for your team, drawn from six territories where the research says connection happens.

Clay, flour, ink, soil. Something made together that leaves the room with them, or stays in the building.

MAKE BY HAND.

Rooms built around sound, taste, light and scale. Where the surprise usually lives.

THE SENSES.

PLAY.

Games with real stakes, strange briefs, ridiculous builds. Competitive enough that people forget to be self-conscious.

Living things, planted or grown, that stay in the office afterwards.

GROW.

MOVE.

Rhythm and movement, built so nobody is exposed and nobody performs alone.

LOOK AGAIN.

Close looking, walks, optics. The familiar made surprising again.

The concept is confirmed with you in advance. Your team finds out on the day.

ABOUT ELEVATE

We replenish joy.

ELEVATE builds emotional fitness through The Joy Method, training the elevated emotions that make people resilient, creative and feel like themselves again.

Most of this category asks how to make people feel less bad. ELEVATE asks a better question: what actually makes people feel good, and can you build it on purpose? Joy, awe and gratitude are trainable states with peer-reviewed evidence behind them, linked to how people think, connect and perform, and to physical health. We design the conditions, then get out of the way.

Live events, immersive experiences and corporate programs. One method underneath all of it.
