THE IMMERSION · THE RETREAT
THE JOY RETREAT
November, 2026
For the woman juggling all of it. You keep thinking you’ll make time for yourself when things calm down. Things never calm down. Three days that end with you dancing in a field under the stars, and a version of yourself you've been missing.
NOT A RETREAT FROM LIFE. A RETURN TO IT.
NOVEMBER 2026 · VICTORIA
Nothing to plan, nothing to carry, nothing to remember for anyone else.
WHAT IS IT?
You've been told to rest. To slow down, do less, take a break. So you did, the bath, the early night, the do-nothing Sunday. And it might have worked for a minute, but it didn't bring back your vitality, your aliveness.
Here's why. You are doing too much, nobody's arguing with that. But rest only takes things off the list. It doesn't touch the part of you that's actually flat. You can lie down for a week and still feel nothing, because the low-grade hum of what-needs-doing-next doesn't switch off just because you did. And the finish line keeps moving. There's always another thing.
So you keep thinking you'll sort it out when things calm down. Things never calm down.
The Immersion is three days built on the opposite premise. We don't send you away to recover from your life. We train the states that make you feel alive in it, joy, awe, gratitude, as measurable, physiological skills, over three joy-fuelled days.
You'll leave with something rest could never give you: the capacity to feel good on purpose, and a reserve you can draw on for months.
Joy, awe and gratitude do specific, measurable things in your body. They activate your parasympathetic nervous system, lower cortisol, and speed up how fast you recover from stress. This isn't positive thinking. It's physiology, and it's been studied for decades.
The catch is that you can't force them. Joy doesn't arrive because you've decided to ‘just be happy’ it arrives when your nervous system feels safe enough to let it.
We start with gratitude, which settles you, and awe, which gets you out of your own head. Then compassion, which is where a room of strangers stops feeling like strangers. Only then does joy land, the properly, undeniably fun part, and it lands because everything before it made space for it. We finish with contentment, so you leave settled rather than just fired up, and the shift actually stays.
Every one of the five elevated emotion states are measurably stronger in a room full of other people than it is alone, which is why we do this together, in your body, not just your head.
Not a retreat from life. A return to it.
WHY IT WORKS
A DAY IN THE LIFE
ORDINARY THINGS, DOING EXTRAORDINARY WORK.
BREATHWORK & THE JOY METHOD FLOW
You wake without an alarm. We start with breathwork and movement, the settling everything else is built on. Getting you out of your head and into your body, which is the only place joy actually happens.
MORNING
EATEN SITTING DOWN, AND HOT
Not eaten standing up. Not eaten while answering an email, packing a lunchbox, or finding a missing shoe. Someone else cooked it. Someone else will clear it. You just sit down, and eat it hot, and stay as long as you want.
BREAKFAST
STOP ACTING YOUR AGE
Sometimes the most mature thing you can do is exactly that. Painting with your hands. A music experience. Cooking together. Creative expression is a physiological tool, not a craft session, and it's the fastest way we know to break down the walls adult-logic built.
AFTERNOON
YOU-TIME
Free time, deliberately. Sleep, walk the farm, read, sit in the sun, talk to someone new. No timetable, no obligation to be anywhere.
LATE AFTERNOON
DINNER, MADE JUST FOR YOU
You didn't shop for it, cook it, or clear it. A chef did. Long table, good food, no rush, and nobody asking you what's for dinner tomorrow. Just a delicious meal, eaten at your own pace, at a table where nobody needs anything from you.
EVENING
DANCING IN A FIELD, UNDER THE STARS
A long dinner outside as the light goes, then a live DJ and a dance floor in the open. Barefoot, music loud enough to feel, a song you'd forgotten you loved. You'll dance for hours without once thinking about tomorrow, and wake up feeling more alive than you have in years.
POST-DINNER
ARRIVE. AND LET US TAKE CARE OF THE REST.

THE BEFORE AND AFTER.
Most women book this on their own. So a few weeks before, we get the group together on a call, an hour, with a glass of wine if you want one.
You'll meet everyone, we'll walk you through the three days, and you can ask any questions you have.
By the time you're driving down, you'll know who you're spending the weekend with.
BEFORE
AFTER
You'll go home with a Joy Method pack, the practices, carefully shared so you can keep using them.
And a few weeks later, we get the group back on a call. Three days is enough to feel the shift. Keeping it takes practice, so we check in, answer questions, and help you work out how these tools fit into your actual life once you're back in it.
MEET YOUR HOST
“I built it because joy saved my life.”
Jacqueline spent fifteen years as a designer in fashion, Sydney, New York, San Diego, Melbourne, before a medical emergency stopped everything. She found her way back not through a protocol, but through ordinary moments of joy, and then went looking for the science that explained why they worked. She'll be running the three days herself. This isn't something she read about and decided to teach. It's the thing that brought her back, built into three days for everyone else.
THE FAQs
-
An emotional fitness retreat trains elevated emotional states, joy, awe, gratitude, compassion and contentment, as measurable, physiological skills, over several days. Unlike most retreats, it isn’t designed as an escape from your life. It’s designed to build a reserve you bring back to it. The ELEVATE Immersion is two nights and three days, running the complete Joy Method.
-
The Taster is a single 90-minute event, the whole Joy Method in miniature. The Immersion is two nights and three days, giving each of the five states the room it deserves, unhurried. Same methodology, far greater depth, and a much deeper reserve to take home.
-
Not at all, coming on your own is the most common way to do this. We run a session online beforehand so the group already knows each other a little before anyone arrives.
-
None. No experience, no fitness requirement, no certain type. It’s built for real women living full lives, the ones running on fumes who haven’t had a proper break in years. Come exactly as you are.
-
The price covers two nights’ accommodation, all meals, every session across the three days, the pre-retreat session online, and the final night dinner and dancing under the stars. Travel to and from the farm isn’t included, but it’s an easy drive from Melbourne and we’ll connect the group so you can share a car.
-
You'll come home with a Joy Method pack, the practices, written down, so you can keep using them. And a few weeks later we get the group back together on a call.
It's not a check-in on whether you've been doing your homework. It's the point at which the three days stop being a weekend you had and start being something you actually kept. Most of what you build at the Immersion is durable, but it's easier to hold onto with the people who were there.
